scope of work

  • Replace approx. 500 linear feet of deteriorated steel seawall with a new reinforced precast concrete panel wall system.
  • Supported by 14-inch prestressed concrete king piles and batter piles engineered for long-term shoreline stability.
  • Installation of a cast-in-place concrete cap with expansion joints and reattachment of the existing aluminum guardrail.
  • Included construction of a new sidewalk, culvert penetration panel, and complete site restoration.
  • Work performed entirely from the landside using cranes and strict maintenance of traffic controls to preserve public access and safety.
  • Pre- and post-construction surveys, vibration monitoring, and quality testing implemented throughout construction.
  • Floating turbidity barriers maintained at all times to protect the Indian River Lagoon.
  • The completed project restored the city’s waterfront infrastructure, improved resiliency, and enhanced public access along the riverwalk.
