scope of work
- Demolition of the existing timber travel-lift piers including removal of piles, framing, and deck structure.
- Installation of new prestressed concrete piles driven from the water using heavy barge-mounted equipment.
- Heavy pile driving through cemented sands and dense subsurface layers with high-energy impact hammers and close alignment control.
- Construct new precast pile caps and structural deck slabs forming the upgraded travel-lift runway.
- Use of a 150 ton crane over weak existing infrastructure with engineered load paths and carefully coordinated lifting operations.
- Placement of all concrete, reinforcement, and structural components from barges due to limited land access and marina constraints.
- Reconstruct load-bearing deck system including reinforcement splicing, dowels, shear keys, and structural tie-ins.
- Coordinate marine logistics, tidal windows, and restricted access conditions to maintain production and safety.
- Deliver strengthened and long-life travel-lift pier system built to support vessel haul-out operations and heavy marine equipment loading.
